World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Olympic Style Sparring Competition

Our sparring competitors are trained by nationally certified USAT Level 1 Coach, Master Brand. She has 27 years of national level sparring competition and coaching experience. In support, is our core group of experienced coaches and referees: Tara Zielenski, James Scaife, and Anacleta Thorne. Our coaches dedicate their time and resources to help our competitors develop successful game-winning strategy, sportsmanship and poise under pressure. Students are encouraged to compete at whichever level - local, regional, national, international - they desire.

Competition Training Program
World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Poomsae Competition

Poomsae competition arrived on the international stage at the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship in Korea in 2006. Master Brand, a 2007 USA team member, trained throughout 2007 under National Poomsae Head Coach, Dr. Misha Thackrey, and competed at the World Championship in Incheon, Korea where she was one of five US medalists. This experience combined with Master Brand training with the Korean Kukkiwon instructors at the 2007 Instructor Seminar, has provided our club with a wealth of knowledge. All of the Sacramento Taekwondo Club instructors are kept up to date with new World Taekwondo Federation international standards as they arrive, so our students are taught only the most current information. This area of competition is growing rapidly, and we are ready to support our students at a wide range of events from local to international competitions.
